GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS
- If you are proposing a speaker other than yourself, please confirm that he or she is eligible and available to speak on any day of the event.
- The speaker agrees to prepare a presentation for the program and agrees to submit it in advance of the event.
- Speakers will not be paid an honorarium or reimbursed for expenses.
- Please be aware that by participating you consent to your voice, name, and / or likeness will be used without compensation in films, tapes and photos for any and all media.
Call for Presentations
The 2017 Annual SHRUG GIS Workshop will provide a forum for the latest GIS technology, research and activities in the southeastern United States. This workshop will showcase GIS-related efforts currently ongoing with both government and private agencies, and will cover all levels of experience from beginner to expert.
Call for Posters
The 2017 GIS Workshop Poster Session Committee invites you to submit a poster or map for display during the Workshop. All GIS-related subjects are welcome. This is an opportunity to share your company's projects in front of all attendees. So come on! What are you waiting for!
All posters must be 24 x 36 inches portrait or landscape

Best of Show Recognition for exceptional poster entries will be awarded as noted in the “Poster Categories” section Potential displays include GIS analyses and visualizations, high-quality cartographic products, or project-based informational and educational posters.
Entries will be displayed at the exhibit hall every day of the conference duration. Posters will be voted on by the Workshop attendees. Winners will be announced and awarded at the luncheon time on November 9, 2016.
Call for Story Maps
The 2017 GIS Workshop Poster Session Committee invites you to submit a Story Map for display during the Workshop. Story Maps should be submitted conceptually as a small poster (11 x 17 minimum) that will be hung in the poster gallery. A QR code or web address should be included on the lower right corner of the page. All GIS-related subjects are welcome. ESRI, Google, and other story map style formats are acceptable.
